Thank You for Your Input from Last Friday's Email!

December 09, 20222 min read

I had nearly 30 responses from my email last Friday. Some of the responses were from people that I haven't heard from in months. A couple of the responses were from people I haven't heard from in years!

I want to say two things to everyone:

1) Thank you! I won't lie. Sometimes there's a bit of apprehension when I send out emails like that because the negative voice in my mind says "what if they don't care?" But, I do my best to push through, let go of my ego, and hit "send" anyway.

The amount of feedback and support I received from that email means a lot to me and has me very inspired to move forward with creating content regarding my training philosophy.

So again, thank you!

2) I will definitely be doing this moving forward, but I will take some time to put this together and it will be in chunks, but rest assured it will be delivered. Some of the material will be pretty easy to put together and communicate so that it's simple and easy to understand. Other stuff (i.e. biomechanics) will be a bit more complex and is going to require me figuring out effective and easy ways to communicate this to everyone.

For example, those of you who have worked with me before know that I like to put a heavy emphasis on breathing during specific lifts and exercises. I assume most of you are probably thinking "okay....you want me to breathe obnoxiously why?!" and I totally get that. I will break complex topics like respiratory biomechanics and how it effects things like:

-how breathing impacts core function

-how breathing impacts force production and managing internal and external forces

-how breathing impacts things beyond your conscious control (i.e. your autonomic nervous system...aka flight or fight response)

My goal is to make this as interesting and easy to digest as I possibly can. All of this with the understanding that I have so much more to learn and hence why my coaching strategy changes over time and why I coach exercises I've used in the past differently than I once did.

Thanks again for all of your support!

Have an awesome week!
