Implementation Intention. This is another trick that I learned from James Clear's "Atomic Habits".
This can be a very powerful way to hold yourself accountable with a new habit and have success.
For example, when I first got into the habit of writing this newsletter on a weekly basis I said:
"I will write 3 weekly newsletters on M,W, & F in my home office at the end of the month prior to the month I will publish my writings"
Now, that got super wordy & specific, but yours doesn't have to be.
It might be "I will make myself a breakfast smoothie, each morning in the kitchen."
If you think this would be an effective strategy for you, then give it a try. See how it feels. Let me know how it goes!
